YACHT STYLE’s newly released issue 39 celebrates the great “Summer Escapes” Asian-Pacific waters have to offer, from historical maritime silk routes to the superyacht routes of today.

With a cover feature on “Islands and Coastal Getaways”, we begin with a new look at the historic Silk Road of the Sea, exploring new knowledge gleaned from a widening range of shipwrecks that indicate the Malays, Indians and Arabs as our earliest seafarers. Malay Isles brings us to colonial era voyaging and we journey along with the superyacht Glaze, which has been cruising along the Kimberley Coast of NW Australia offering breath-taking sights and experiences for the adventurous traveller.

With Asia-Pacific becoming “the next big thing”, charting impressive recent superyachts sales – 6 orders for Feadship, an 81m schooner for Royal Huisman, an 84m motor yacht at Echo Yachts, an enormous 120m by Lürssen and the largest superyacht in Benetti’s history—there is sure to be an ever-growing Asian audience attending the upcoming major European boatshows of Cannes, Genoa and Monaco.

Our Yacht Reviews takes us on board the recently launched Riva 100’ Corsaro in Hong Kong, the first European motor yacht to make her worldwide debut in Asia. With the latest Sanlorenzo SD 126 Takara, we study the interior decor choices the shipyard makes available by taking clients on a tour of what the best “Made in Italy” has to offer.

Also included in our cover review are the Princess S60, a remarkable sport cruiser, and the innovative Galeon 460 Fly making a promising debut in Asia. Finally, we look at how the Monte Carlo Yachts (MCY) shipyard and range has rapidly made an impact on the luxury yacht market.

Associate Editor Bruce Maxwell also recaps the exhilarating Kiwi win of the 35th America’s Cup held in Bermuda in late June, an exciting surge for the Asia-Pacific boating industry!

YACHT STYLE issue 39 will be circulated until the highly anticipated SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS at Raffles Marina (October 5 – 8, 2017) during which YACHT STYLE will release its 40th issue, a landmark celebration of the magazine’s 10th anniversary.

Expect an exciting anniversary issue featuring the “Top 100 Superyachts of Asia-Pacific”, with an exclusive feature on Sanlorenzo’s historic shipyard and a spotlight on fishing in the region together with the latest sportfisher models available. We also showcase an array of sleek Powercats and sea trial novelties from the European boat shows.

Mark your diaries for the SINGAPORE RENDEZVOUS at Raffles Marina from October 5-8, and the PHUKET RENDEZVOUS at Royal Phuket Marina from January 4 to 7, 2018!
