All in the name of charity, WOAM brought music, art and more to their lively event at Sentosa

Having trekked through some of the most hazardous locations — all in the name of charity — the lovely ladies from Women On A Mission (WOAM) are certainly a force to be reckoned with. More than just good Samaritans, the women gave us a glimpse into their journey across the hottest place on earth. Held on June 8 at the Ola Beach Club, the event was an opportunity for guests to tour the exhibition called “Sands Of Time”.

Along with the exhibition, the event hosted a silent auction that saw a painting, donated by Iranian Ali Esmaeilipour, go under the hammer. By the end of the night, the organisation raised $60,000 for AWARE Singapore and the OMID Foundation of Iran. Transporting guests to Persia, the team filled the venue with décor that would be commonly found in the Middle East. As they enjoyed the performances and fashion show, guests were also treated to a sumptuous spread that included Lamb Koobideh and Baklava.

To mark a memorable evening that raised funds for two charities, the event also featured fire dancers who certainly heated things up with their captivating performances. We can’t wait for the next expedition by WOAM to see which elements they challenge next.
