After previous years sold out editions, Peroni Sunset Cinema is back again. As the sun sets, Sentosa’s Tanjong Beach becomes an experiential lifestyle venue for Peroni, where one can enjoy the windy outdoors in a relaxed setting of drinks, dinner, live DJs and eventually, film on Singapore’s most iconic beach.

Peroni Sunset Cinema Returns for its 3rd Edition, 2nd to 15th May

Italian beer brand, Peroni, enhances your weekend drinking experience  once again with the 3rd edition of the Peroni Sunset Cinema, happening from 2nd to 15th May. Tropical sunset, gourmet food and award-winning academy films, Peroni Sunset Cinema is back again after its previous two sell-out editions at Sentosa’s Tanjong Beach. Outdoor film parties like Films At The Fort held at Fort Canning and Open Air Film Club Singapore at The Hive have been ongoing for the last few years but none carry the same panache and style as Peroni Sunset Cinema. Peroni redefines the cinema experience with a more elevated offering.

The highly-anticipated open-air cinema brings together a selection of Academy Award-level films featuring well-received films like audience favourite ‘Green Book’, the iconic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, and the highly discussed ‘A Star is Born’,

Other curated titles for the latest edition of Peroni Sunset Cinema includes Widows, a crime thriller revolving around four women left with nothing but a debt from their dead husbands’ corrupted activities; A Private War, chronicling the life of a war journalist, the fearless Marie Colvin; and The Old Man and The Gun, Robert Redford’s final role before retirement in a true story about a career robber who escaped from prison multiple times.

Do not miss Clint Eastwood as a penniless man who unknowingly signed up to be a drug courier for a Mexican cartel in The Mule, and Emma Thompson in The Children Act, where she faces a decision that could change a teenager’s life. Adding on, the origin story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the famed second female justice (after Sandra Day O’Connor) of four to be confirmed to the US Supreme Court, comes to life with the duo of Felicity Jones and Armie Hammer in On The Basis of Sex.

The beach cinema pair films with ice-cold Peroni beers, a pre-show DJ and comfortable European-summer “Deck Chairs” or Folding Beach Chairs. With noise-cancelling headphones, you get to immerse yourself in record-breaking and critically acclaimed soundtracks like  ‘Shallow’ performed by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga from A Star is Born. With personal volume control, patrons get to enjoy a silent-cinema experience and tune out everything else but the film.

Doors open at 5pm with screenings kicking off at 7.45pm. Be sure to arrive early to enjoy dinner whipped up by Tanjong Beach Club and Peroni beers by the beach. The ticket includes a deck chair seat and wireless headphones. Complimentary shuttle bus is available after the show between 9:15PM and 10:15 PM.
